Positano is a beautiful village on the Amalfi coast in Italy. The village is in every sense clinging to an almost vertical slope ending in the gorgeous turquoise Amalfian sea, with each pastel house looking more like an apartment of an impossible skyscraper and boasting unique views!
Although navigating Positano’s narrow steep stairs is not for the fainthearted, the visual rewards of quaint and colorful shops, niche boutiques and fragrant house-gardens will more than make up for the effort!
Positano sounds like a great place to be and get around from, but accommodation may be hard to find and expensive. As an alternative, why not use Naples, with its most unusual tourist guides, as a base and visit Positano for the day?
