I was told that Peru was the best place to visit in South America.
The problem is, I have no idea where to go there. The country isn’t exactly tiny and I don’t really know any of the history.
Where would you recommend going?
Machu Picchu!!
I don’t know if that’s exactly how you spell it, but that’s all I know about Peru. I would love to visit some day. It’s one of the seven wonders of the world now, I believe, so I could mark that off my bucket list.
Tourism is huge in Peru. They have a rich culture and lots of places to visit.
Look at this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tourism_in_Peru
It doesn’t give a lot of specifics, but it breaks down what the country is popular for. Then from there you can decide if you’re more into the adventure side or the culture or whatever so that you can look up very specific attractions.
The Amazon Jungle in Peru is amazing, and it’s definitely worth visiting. Also, Lake Titicaca is worth visiting which is the second largest lake in South America and is located on the border of Peru and Bolivia.
Oh I have heard some great things about Lake Titicaca. It’s supposed to be beautiful….and it’s so huge!
Do you know if fishing is allowed there?
